[ACTION REQUIRED] Upcoming change to knative-eventing-fips Images’ repository names.

TL;DR: We’re fixing the knative-eventing-fips Images’ repository names by moving -fips as suffixes for all component images in our console.

We’re changing the default repository names for all knative-eventing-fips component images in our console for ease in discovery and customer use cases. Once this change is implemented, all new image updates and tags will be released in new repositories.

Image that will be affected:

• console/knative-eventing-fips-channel-controller
• console/knative-eventing-fips-channel-dispatcher
• console/knative-eventing-fips-controller
• console/knative-eventing-fips-filter
• console/knative-eventing-fips-ingress
• console/knative-eventing-fips-jobsink
• console/knative-eventing-fips-mtchannel-broker
• console/knative-eventing-fips-webhook

What is changing?

Chainguard is adding a minor repository name change to all knative-eventing-fips images on console.

Why is Chainguard making this change?

Our FIPS variants for all images contain “-fips” as suffixes for ease in discovery and customer use-cases.

How will this affect me?

If you use Chainguard’s knative-eventing-fips images, the following updated image tags and releases will be pushed to the new repository, and the older repositories will be removed on November 24th, 2025.

Please update your references to the new repository name for all knative-eventing-fips images.

Knative-eventing-fips-ingress:latest                     → knative-eventing-ingress-fips:latest

All new updates and tags will now be released under new repositories. If you’re using the latest tags, no other changes are expected. 

If you’re using a specific older tag, you’re requested to move to the latest of knative-eventing-fips before we migrate to the new repository.
