Custom Assembly changes for GA

1. We will be enabling Custom Assembly for all images you’re entitled to

   1. There are no changes to any image by default. The only difference is that users will see a “Customize Image” button in the console when they click on the image

   2. Customizations can only be made manually after Custom Assembly is enabled

   3. If you’d like to disable Custom Assembly, please contact your Chainguard account representative to help

    

2. We will restrict the permission to use Custom Assembly to only owner roles to start off with

   1. Users with edit roles will not be able to use Custom Assembly by default

   2. Owner users can grant edit users with the repo.update permission to use Custom Assembly if they’d like

Owner users can also create a new custom role with the repo.update permission to use Custom Assembly
