If you’re seeing an error when trying to access Chainguard Support, it’s likely because your account hasn’t been created or linked to an organization. This guide explains how to get access - whether you’re requesting access or managing invites.
1. Sign In to Chainguard
For users: If you’ve been invited to join your organization, you don’t need to create an account manually - just click the link in your invite email and follow the steps. Your account will be created automatically as part of that flow.
For admins: To send invites or manage org access, you’ll need to be signed in first.
To sign in:
Choose your identity provider (Google, GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
If you haven’t signed in before, your account will be created during login
Once you’re signed in, you’ll have access to:
Chainguard Public Images
Your Organization Images (if you’re linked to one)
Reports
Links to Support, Training, Docs, and Security Advisories
2. Link Your Identity to an Organization
The support portal requires your identity to be tied to an organization.
Note: To access organization-specific features:
You need to be part of an organization
Your organization needs to have the appropriate subscription level
-
You can access organization features by using the URL format:
https://console.chainguard.dev/auth/login?org=ORGANIZATION
For users: You won’t be able to access the support portal unless your identity is linked to a Chainguard org.
Ask your admin or teammate to create an invite for you
You’ll get an email - click the link and complete the setup
After setup, log into https://console.chainguard.dev and check that your org shows up in the left-hand sidebar
If you skip this, your identity won’t be linked, and the support portal will still show an error.
For admins: To create invites from the CLI, see How to manage IAM organizations in Chainguard.
To invite users directly in the Console:
Sign in at https://console.chainguard.dev
Go to Settings → Users
Click Invite users
Enter the user’s email and assign a role
3. Access the Chainguard Support Portal
Once your identity is linked to an org, you can access the support portal in two ways:
Click Support in the left-hand sidebar of the Console
Or go directly to: https://support.chainguard.dev/
Both will take you to Chainguard’s support portal.
4. Still Seeing an Error?
Try the following:
Try opening the Chainguard Console and the support portal in an incognito/private browser window
Clear your cache and cookies
Make sure you clicked the invite and fully completed the setup flow
Confirm you’re logging in with the same identity you were invited with
Need Help?
If you’re still having trouble, email support@chainguard.dev with:
A screenshot of the error
The email of the account you’re trying to use
If applicable, the invite link you received
